My career has centred on the points at which a board must decide, ownership changes, or a regulator, investor or counterparty must establish whether the numbers, structures and systems can be relied on.

I spent almost a decade at Goldman Sachs in London across several functions, from fixed income operations to the firm’s execution and clearing business, where I progressed to Executive Director. I subsequently led programmes at Traiana that automated straight-through processing across global foreign exchange markets, before working with exchanges at Bloomberg on the integrity and commercial development of their market data.

That work brought me to Nigeria in 2015 and to more than eleven years with the FBNQuest businesses. I led Strategy and Transformation, and the mandate widened to encompass Operations, People Management, and Marketing and Corporate Communications, together with governance oversight of technology and information security.
